Things On My Session Wishlist
Let's have a little fun!
Part of being a photographer is admiring the work that others make and draw inspiration from it. I've come across some ideas that I love and some that make me scratch my head....That being said, I have a running list of some different sessions I'd love to try this year, so if any of these grab catch your eye send me a message and mention the session(s) that you'd like to do. I'll even offer a 15% discount on any of these ideas (or maybe even your own idea if it sounds cool!).
- Surprise engagement: Surprise the one you love by popping the big question! Open to locations or significant places to your relationship and LGBTQIA+ friendly.
- Boating/Water Ski/Wakeboard/Tubing: This one is probably more of a family idea, but I'm definitely open to a group of friends for it as well. Meant to capture the fun and candid nature of it all and maybe even a little showing off on the lake!
- Lakeside: Either a family or a couple works here, but my thoughts initially are just goofing off in the water, building a sand castle and just general lake fun enjoying the summer.
- Apple Picking: Great for a fun family or friends session or as a fun or intimate date idea for a couple
- Pumpkin Carving: Same idea as the apple picking, ideally sitting on the front step or maybe in the front or back yard and just capturing the laughs and the fun.
- Sunflower Field: This could be an individual, couple, friends or family session. Best suited for golden hour, but any time of day can work!
- "Spooky" Sessions: These are great for families, friends or couples. You can either use plain white sheets with fun accessories (hats, sunglasses etc) to be ghosts or you can carve pumpkins and have jack-o-lantern heads. If you're into horror stuff you can also dress as famous movie characters and play out the killer chasing the victim down.
- Buddy Senior: Pretty simple idea here, doing a senior photo session with your best friend or friends. Meant to be a little more playful and fun and to have something to look back on.
- Sweetheart Sessions: These are mini sessions meant for high school couples to do a fun session for just them to be themselves. A great idea for those that will be attending different schools in the fall!
- Prom: Quick, fun and professional photos of prom dates, friend groups and individuals. Also a great keepsake for parents and grandparents!
- Cap & Gown: Individual sessions to celebrate your coming high school or college graduation. Meant to be a mix of fun and serious to capture all the emotions involved in the hard work put in to getting to this point.
- Paint Party: Just have fun painting either a canvas or each other! Another idea that works for pretty much anyone, but expect to get messy!
- Pizza and Beer Picnic: Mostly meant to be a fun spin on a date night, but could also be done with a friend. Have fun enjoying each other's company, feeding each other and goofing around!
- Romantic Picnic: Something simple like a bottle of wine or champagne, a charcuterie board and your favorite person. Another fun date idea to capture some memories with your loved one.
- Princess Sports: Girls dressed up in a dress, but with a little sports attitude thrown in (eye black, cleats etc).
- Prince Sports: Boys dressed up in a suit or tux, but with a little sports attitude thrown in (eye black, cleats etc)
- Awkward Family Photos: Horrible, clashing outfits. Awkward poses. Straight faces. The ultimate cringy shoot.
- Awkward Couples Shoot: Matching or clashing outfits. Awkward poses. Almost as much cringe as it is fun with your partner!
